Blog #1: The Beginning Steps of a Dream Career
My name is Drew Nylander and I have recently decided I want to pursue a career as an airline pilot. Before 2020 I had never thought of being a pilot, but when Covid happened I started thinking about a lot of different potential careers I could consider. I thought about being a pilot briefly but the thought only stuck with me for a couple of weeks. Now, this brings us to the present day and I went on a discovery flight 3 weeks ago and loved every second of it. This solidified my decision of pursuing a career in aviation. Being an airline pilot is a tough task that can take up to 3-4 years. There are several paths you can take to become an airline pilot whether this is through the military, four-year degrees, ATP, or airline academy. As of right now, I want to go to an airline academy.
